Fantasy Forest 2024

Cygnus is collaborating with the wonderful team behind the Fantasy Forest Festival. This is the event page for fighters and support wishing to participate to sign up and provide details.

Fantasy Forest will be taking place from Friday 19th July 2024 to Sunday 21st July 2024.

This is a non-league event for female fighters. Our aim is to promote the sport and provide opportunities for women to compete, have fun, and get to know other female fighters. This event is your chance to compete in areas you are familiar with, and also for anyone to try events that they may not have as much experience in, especially when you can have a chance to fight with competitors you don't normally fight against!

This year we are offering traditional categories, and also the chance for fighters without armour to participate in soft kit duels. Each category will run based upon sign up interest, and may be split into 'normal' and 'advanced' categories, with each having awards. Categories will be officially announced when sign ups have closed. You may also sign up for 5v5, 10v10, and all vs all without a team - we would like all fighters to have a chance to take part, and a team will be arranged for you.

Other events taking place are:

Armour Demonstrations - Volunteer to show the audience how your armour is put on and how it functions. Compete with each other to see who can get armoured up the fastest.

Weapon Demonstrations -Show off your favourite weapons and how they work!

Armour and Medieval Clothing Awards- We want to show the wonderful variety of armour that we have! Whilst we take the sport very seriously, we would like to acknowledge that you look amazing in your armour. Get your best weapon and shield together, and have your armour in it's best condition to be considered for a variety of categories and awards!

Meatgrinder - A fun all vs all mass battle where you can get back up on your feet as many times as you want within a set time limit.

Hunger Games - An all vs all fight where you will need to grab a weapon from the centre of the list to fight with.

Other information:

There is a limited number of tickets available for this event, so support tickets may be restricted depending on numbers.

Camping is available on site for anyone needing to stay overnight.

Water will be provided around the list for participants, and there are water taps on site.

There is an area for all fighters to store their armour and weapons next to the list.

If you are attending Friday and Sunday, we would like help to set up and pack down to ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible.
